Healthy changes are possible!
Some common options toward improved wellness are briefly described here:

The services outlined above vary in degree of intensity and necessary commitment. A logical progression may be:
- Consulting a physician (if you are reducing or stopping alcohol or drug use, having medical support may be critical!)
- Detox services (may be appropriated and useful)
- Getting support of family and friends.
- Utilizing self-help books
- Employing professionals such as drug and alcohol counsellors and psychotherapists.
- Going to a residential treatment centre
- Living and participating in a Dry Community.
The steps above may be engaged one by one until you are satisfied with how your life is changing. For example, after the first 3 steps you might find you are happy with the changes you have made and not continue to the steps described after that.
