COOK
We are looking for an on call and possibly part time person to work as a cook.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining compassion and respect for clients
- Preparing exciting nutritious vegetarian menu
- Participating in scheduled staff meetings
- Developing and maintaining healthy working relationships with other team
members
Required Knowledge, Abilities and skills:
- Thorough knowledge of food trends/products, varied menu planning, food
preparation, food presentation and food service
- High level of leadership and professional skills in the kitchen
- Ability to communicate effectively, understand and carry out oral and written
instructions
- Thorough knowledge in the safe use and care of kitchen supplies and equipment
- Ability to care for and use a variety of kitchen appliances and tools
- Ability to explain and implement new and improved methods, system policies and
procedures as necessary
- Ability to maintain and promote a positive attitude that leads to a healthy and
creative working environment
Specific Requirements:
- Completion of the 12th grade or equivalent, Food Safe Course, and CPR level C
first aid.
- Completion of Journeyman or Culinary Art Trades Qualification.
- Supplemented by 2 years experience in commercial kitchen or an equivalent of
training and experience.
- Personal commitment to wellness
