What about my meds?

Due to Paradise Valley Wellness Centre’s Medication Policy and for safety reasons we require you to not bring any current prescription medication or non-prescription medications with you into the facility. As part of your referral package, your physician will have supplied Paradise Valley Wellness Centre with a written prescription for any current prescriptions you may be taking. Upon your arrival, we will have the local pharmacy take care of your medications.

Exceptions to this policy includes individuals coming to the treatment centre outside British Columbia. In such case, we will need at least 48 hours notice prior to arrival for treatment. It is very important that during telephone intake or pre-admission, an arrangement is made with Admission staff concerning your medications to ensure a smooth transition into treatment and non-disruption of any prescribed medications.

We require you to bring originals of all triplicate prescriptions with you and upon departure from residential services, all unused medications will be returned to you and you will be advised to seek follow-up with your referring physician. We require a credit card be kept on file (or other arrangements to be made) in order to cover cost of all medical prescriptions.
